Fabulous Fjords and Stunning Seafood.

The main focus of our trip was to go aboard the Ramoen which is essentially a fishing trawler. Except you won’t see many trawlers like this around Exmouth. Not only would the Ramoen not fit into Exmouth Dock, it is bigger than the Dock! The Ramoen is a factory ship that lands, processes and freezes fish all within 6 hours of catching.

Having a Ball (all in aid of Exmouth RNLI)!

The reason Krispies are hosting this fabulous fund raising evening, where all the proceeds go directly to Exmouth RNLI (not the main charity but our guys right here in Exmouth), is because the RNLI is an organisation very close to our hearts. Tim is, of course, a volunteer crew member which makes me a volunteer Crew Members wife so between us we both understand some of the sacrifices that need to be made by both Crew Members and their families so we can keep people in the waters around Exmouth safe whatever time of the day or night they might get into trouble.

Fish that is Fresher than Fresh!

At Krispies we get through a lot of fish – on average half a ton per week (more in Summer) and we want every single piece of fish we serve to be very fresh, very good quality and to come from sustainable sources. To achieve this we buy our fresh fish frozen! I know this sounds like a contradiction but the process ensures our Fish is Fresher than Fresh! Read on to find out more…

Photographing Fish!

As Exmouth is a seaside town there is a constant threat from hungry seagulls, they sit on the roof of the Church and eye us carefully so they can pounce as soon as our backs are turned. So, in order to avoid unwanted air born attacks we have to have to dispose of the food as quickly as possible. Fish and Chips for breakfast – yumm!
