Meet the krispies Crew
What is your job title?
What does that mean?
I am front of house, serving the customers
Where are you from?
I am Exmouth born and bred, I would never live anywhere else
Why did you come to Exmouth?
My parents moved here and I eventually followed them
What did you do before you worked at Krispies?
I was a bus driver! I gave it up to have a family and then started to work for Krispies. I much prefer it here.
How long have you been working for Krispies?
What is the best thing about your job?
I love everything about my job – the customers, the people I work with, meeting new people all the time and when I have time chatting with the customers. I just love it all.
What does winning From Field to Fryer mean to you?
It’s Amazing! It is great that Krispies is really on the map. It’s just fantastic we won Exmouth Restaurant of the Year [in the Exmouth Business Awards] and now From Field to Fryer – it is an achievement for all of us and we are really proud.
What’s your favourite thing on Krispies menu?
Plaice and Chips
Are you Battered, Traditional or Mixed
Who are your favourite sports team or band?
Arsenal – because my Dad used to support them.
What is your favourite thing to do with a lazy, sunny afternoon?
Take the kids to Crealy.
What makes Krispies different from other take aways?
Apart from our battered chips I think it is our relationship with the customers. We have so many regulars and you get to know what they are having when they walk in the shop, the older people in particular really love this. I feel that Krispies is really part of the community and we create a community feel. I really love working here, Tim and Kelly have given me such support over the years, I cannot imagine working anywhere else, in fact you can bury my ashes in a Krispies Box!
